Built on More Than Just Training

Not every athlete starts from a place of certainty. Some are built through challenge, resilience, and a refusal to accept limits placed on them early. Amanda’s journey reflects that path, one shaped by consistency, perspective, and a deep connection to what it means to keep moving forward.

Today, in Annapolis, she is preparing for multiple Hyrox events while continuing to evolve as an athlete. But her story goes beyond competition. It is about how she shows up, for herself, her family, and the people around her.

A Foundation Rooted in Family and Health

In Amanda’s world, fitness is not a phase or a seasonal goal. It is part of the structure of her household. Healthy eating, movement, and taking care of the body are not optional. They are built into daily life.

That perspective shifts everything. Training is not just about preparing for Hyrox. It is about building a lifestyle that supports long-term health, energy, and presence. It creates consistency because it is tied to something bigger than performance alone.

Training for Hyrox, Built for Variety

Preparing for Hyrox requires a blend of strength, endurance, and adaptability. Amanda embraces that fully. Her training is not confined to one style or system. It is a mix of it all, reflecting both her competitive background and the demands of the sport.

Her Garmin is one piece of gear she relies on daily, helping her track progress and stay connected to the work. But beyond the tools, it is her willingness to show up consistently that drives her forward. Training is not about perfection. It is about repetition and effort over time.

Progress That Compounds Daily

“Always striving to be 1% better than the day before.”

That mindset is simple, but it carries weight. It removes pressure to be perfect and replaces it with a focus on steady improvement. For Amanda, progress is not measured in one breakthrough moment. It is built through small, consistent actions that add up over time.

This approach shows up not only in how she trains, but in how she lives. It is sustainable, repeatable, and grounded in reality.

Movement as a Way of Life

Movement health is not something Amanda thinks about occasionally. It is a core part of how she approaches life. It influences how she trains, how she recovers, and how she supports her family.

Seeing movement as a long-term investment changes the conversation. It becomes less about short-term results and more about building a body that can handle what life demands, both now and in the future.

Built for the Long Game

There is a clear reason Amanda continues to train and push forward. It is not only about competition. It is about staying active for the people who matter most.

She wants to keep up with her two boys. She wants to stay capable, present, and strong as life evolves. That perspective brings clarity to her training. It is not about chasing one finish line. It is about building a foundation that lasts.

Energy That Elevates the Room

Amanda’s impact goes beyond her own training. She brings energy into every space she steps into. Whether she is in her home gym or dropping into a new one, she becomes a source of encouragement.

She describes herself as the loudest supporter in the room, and that presence matters. It creates an environment where others feel pushed, supported, and seen. Leadership does not always come from instruction. Sometimes it comes from energy and consistency.

A Story Defined by Resilience

Amanda’s path into fitness was never guaranteed. She was born with a birth defect that should have limited her mobility. Doctors believed her future would look very different.

Instead, she built a career as a Division I athlete, a professional grid athlete, and a CrossFit competitor. Now, she is stepping into endurance training through Hyrox.

That journey reframes everything. The training, the mindset, and the consistency all carry a deeper meaning. It is not just about performance. It is about what is possible when limitations are challenged.
