Fast Dinner Ideas for Busy Families!

I always say having staple meals for dinner is essential. However, finding meals that are fast and easy AND everyone likes them can be a challenge. You can pull inspiration from what is “in trend” and classic favorites and make them fit your family. Below are some examples of how I do just that! I hope these ideas can enter your family’s dinner rotation and help your evening routine become easier by the day!

Inside Out Egg Roll

Saute Lean Ground Wild Boar (sauteed in a pan with ground ginger, 1 teaspoon of sesame oil and preferred spices). Then in the same pan saute a bag of shredded cabbage with fresh grated ginger, coconut aminos, and 1-2 teaspoons of garlic. Put the cooked shredded cabbage in a bowl and top with ground boar and 2 teaspoons of sesame seeds and 1 fried egg. 

Homemade Pasta Bar

Cook ½ to 1 box (depending on how many people you need to feed) of desired pasta (I like fusilli pasta for this meal). Set cooked pasta out with a bunch of toppings like: cooked broccoli, fresh halved cherry tomatoes, zucchini, pesto, olive oil and/ or marinara sauce, chopped chicken, cubed tofu or ground turkey and parmesan cheese. Every family member can assemble as they wish and should still allow for some killer leftovers!

Air fried Salmon Bowls

Take 1lb of fresh salmon, remove the skin and chop into medium to large cubes. Season salmon with Japanese BBQ sauce & spices of choice (I use garlic, ginger, salt & pepper).  Cook salmon in the airfryer at 400 degrees for 11 minutes. While that is cooking microwave Trader Joe’s frozen jasmine rice (or similar product) and sauté chopped zucchini & onions (these can also go in the air fryer on a second tray) Layer white rice, with zucchini & onion and salmon. Additional topping can be sliced avocado, thinly sliced seaweed and sesame seeds
