Dear Runners,

At R2P, we’re all about empowering you to reach your full potential as athletes. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce the launch of our very own R2P Run Club! Dr. Caleb and Dr. Mason have been successful in implementing R2P Run Club for the past few months at R2P Columbia, and now we’re ready to take this company-wide! Whether you’re a seasoned marathoner or just starting out on your running journey, our club is designed to provide you with the support, structure, and community you need to thrive.

Why a Run Club?

Let’s kick things off by talking about the incredible benefits of joining a run club or participating in community runs. First and foremost, there’s the invaluable aspect of accountability. When you commit to showing up for group runs, you’re not just making a promise to yourself – you’re making a commitment to your fellow runners. This accountability factor can be a powerful motivator to stick to your training plan and push yourself to new heights.

Structured training and coaching are also key components of many run clubs. Many of our partners in the community across the DMV do an excellent job of running programming. Our emphasis at R2P Run Club will be on community aspects of a running club and learning strategies to run stronger and become more resilient with post run lifts and cool-downs. Our team of performance physical therapists will be there every step of the way to provide guidance, support, and answer any questions you may have. 

The Perks!

Of course, one of the greatest perks of joining a run club is the sense of community it fosters. Running and endurance sports can often be solitary ventures, but they don’t have to be! There’s something truly special about sharing the road with like-minded individuals who share your passion for running. Engaging in the running community can push you to become a better runner and enjoy running even more. 

So what can you expect when you join us for a run with the R2P Run Club? It’s simple – just meet us at the respective R2P clinic on the designated dates and times, lace up your shoes, and get ready to hit the pavement! Each session will begin with a 3-mile group run. Afterward, we’ll reconvene at the clinic for a post-run lift to help you build strength with a running specific workout, followed by refreshments and fellowship with your fellow runners.

Here are the upcoming dates and locations for R2P Run Club:

  • March 23rd: Germantown @ 8am
  • April 2nd: Columbia @ 5:30pm
  • April 9th: Frederick @ 6pm
  • April 13th: Bethesda @ 8am
  • April 16th: Tysons Corner @ 6pm
