Mask Policy in Montgomery County (8/7/21)

To our R2Peeps, I hope that this email finds you and your family healthy and well! I am writing to notify you of a recent change to policy within Montgomery County as it relates to masks. You may or may not be aware, but the Montgomery County Council has reinstated the Indoor Mask Mandate(as of August 7, 2021) for certain situations, buildings and facilities throughout the County.

This mandate can be found HERE

I am now going to do my best to relay what this means for our two locations in Montgomery County (Bethesda & Germantown). Rehab 2 Perform™ is a private business, which is an important thing to note because that means we are able to set our own policies & procedures as it relates to the mask mandate. I quote:

  • Such businesses and workplaces can set their own face covering policies.

With that in mind, our team is fully aware that we must adapt and elevate from our current Mirror Policy.
Here is what you can expect from our team moving forward:

  • Our team will be wearing masks at all times, unless eating or drinking, while at the facility.

Here is what we need from you:

  • You need to bring a mask with you to all sessions.
  • You need to be wearing it at all times in the waiting room and in any area of the facility where there is rubber floor underneath your feet.
  • You are ONLY permitted to take your mask down towards your chin for a brief period in the event that you are engaged in some sort of reconditioning on the turf, and have a SIGNIFICANTLY increased breathing rate. In the event that you feel the need to pull down your mask to catch your breath, please be mindful of your surroundings. We ask that you go to a corner of the facility and face a wall, away from others, and well outside of the social distancing guidelines.

I am going to close this email with a mention of two things. One is that we have done a tremendous job of keeping our team safe over the past 16 months, as well as you, our patients/customers/community. There has not been a single case/instance traced back to the four walls of any of our facilities, in any county. Second, We take great pride in providing you with an amazing environment for you to better yourself, and get back to the things you love doing. Much like you are coming to us for education, treatment, interventions and our expertise, we just want to show up every day and work on our craft! I just ask that you continue to show respect for our team, and the others around you at the facility. We are all doing our absolute best when it comes to managing the current circumstances and it is all weighing on us in certain respects or another. Please continue to speak and act with grace moving forward.
I am never too busy for a phone call, e-mail or text. If you’d like to have a conversation about anything as it relates to R2P, please reach out.
