Maya grew up in Columbia, Maryland where she participated in travel softball and competitive cheerleading throughout her youth and in high school. It was during these early years that Maya received physical therapy for many injuries, which created a strong appreciation for the profession. Her passion for health and wellness grew over the years and pushed her to develop a deeper understanding of nutrition and strength training in college. She graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and went on to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from University of Maryland, Baltimore.

After her final clinical experience in a sports setting treating high school and collegiate athletes, Maya knew treating sports related injuries was where she would like to focus and develop her career. Her ultimate goal is to provide the best care possible, helping patients regain function and restore mobility to return to activity in better physical condition than before their injury. She strives to provide unique, individualized treatment plans while making sessions fun and motivational for the patient. Outside of the clinic, Maya enjoys personal training at F45 Training and staying active.
