Dr. Margie Ellison, DPT
Performance Physical Therapist
Margie was born and raised in Florida where she was a multi-sport athlete her whole life. During her time as a Division 1 Rower at Stetson University, she quickly became fascinated with the carefully crafted blend of medicine and sports performance after interacting with the sports medicine staff for various injuries. After undergrad, she continued her love for rowing by racing masters and coaching, as well as working as a personal trainer for 6 years. During this time, her interest in pushing the limits of performance with risk reduction a priority continued to grow, leading her to pursue her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences.
As a student, she gained an interest in pelvic health, and quickly learned the negative impact of pelvic floor related dysfunctions were being heavily overlooked amongst the pregnancy and postpartum athletic population. Margie also enjoys working with endurance athletes, strength athletes, and loves a challenging blend of the two to increase risk reduction. She is passionate about empowering patients to pursue hobbies and sports by helping them decrease limitations.
