Dr. Katie Lupo, DPT
Performance Physical Therapist & Pelvic Health Specialist

Katie Lupo grew up in Minnesota, where she played basketball and softball with aspirations of continuing her athletic career. However, after a car accident at the age of 16, her athletic goals shifted. No longer able to participate in team sports, Katie transitioned her focus to individual pursuits, igniting her passion for staying fit and helping others prepare for whatever life may bring. She has completed two Ironman triathlons, multiple half Ironmans, marathons, half marathons, and biked across the country.
Before transitioning into physical therapy, Katie spent over 15 years coaching athletes across various disciplines, including Olympic lifting, CrossFit, and triathlon. She owned and operated a CrossFit box, where she designed individualized strength and conditioning programs and led a team of coaches to create a positive, inclusive environment for athletes of all levels. Katie also founded a nonprofit community bike shop in Washington, D.C., where she fostered community engagement through a job training program and provided access to bicycles for those in need. As a Certified CrossFit Trainer (L3) and USA Weightlifting Coach, Katie developed a deep understanding of movement, fitness, and functional anatomy. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Tufts University School of Medicine in 2023, further enhancing her ability to empower individuals on their wellness journeys.
Throughout her personal experiences, especially as a mother, Katie developed a passion for working with women to support their health and fitness goals through all stages of life. This led her to specialize in pelvic health, focusing on the physical and emotional challenges women face during pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and beyond. She is deeply committed to providing compassionate care to help women heal, recover, and achieve long-term wellness.
Outside of the clinic, Katie remains active in CrossFit, Olympic lifting, and running, though her most cherished time is spent with her husband and two young daughters. She enjoys exploring the outdoors with her family, whether it’s hiking, camping, or looking forward to their first backpacking and bicycle touring adventures together.
