A graduate of the Eastern Washington University, Janna earned her Master’s degree in Athletic Training. Janna brings experience starting Athletic Training in the clinical setting. Most recently, she comes to us from The Jackson Clinics, where she was working directly with many physical therapists as a Physician Extender.

She developed her love for Athletic Training in high school playing soccer, basketball, and running track. There being a lack of athletic trainer in her hometown inspired her to want to provide care for athletes in the future. She was already interested in a career in healthcare when she discovered physical therapy which fulfilled her desire to help people, work with athletes, and watch her athletes perform on a daily basis. Janna continued on in college and graduate school working closely with D1 athletes and where her love for this career path simply intensified.

Janna is looking forward to starting a career in the high school setting and getting the opportunity to teach. Through athletic training, she plans to connect with the community through sports and teaching. She will have contact with the students and parents on a daily basis giving her opportunities to engage with the Kensington community.

Janna grew up and went to high school and college in Washington state before she started her travels. She has lived in Washington her entire life before settling down in Virginia a few months ago. She currently lives in Sterling with her cat Milo.
