Dr. Sean Jacobs, DPT, CSCS
Performance Physical Therapist
Originally from Woodbridge, VA, Sean grew up in a military family that allowed him to travel both across the country and overseas. He developed an early love for all sports, focusing on hockey and then lacrosse throughout high school. He went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology/Exercise Science from James Madison University in 2013. During his undergraduate years, Sean began coaching CrossFit, where he first became introduced to the field of physical therapy as a possible career choice that combined fitness and problem solving to help his community.
Sean then completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Wingate University in 2017, and worked as a physical therapist in Columbia, South Carolina for more than seven years before relocating to Maryland in 2025. As a physical therapist, Sean has extensive experience treating active individuals and athletes of all ages, with a special niche in fitness athletes and those involved in the “barbell sports”. He is passionate about helping people surpass their goals, set new ones, and achieve health and fitness levels they never thought possible.
Recreationally, Sean has a passion for competing in fitness and barbell sports, including CrossFit, Olympic weightlifting, powerlifting, and Hyrox. He enjoys strength training, running, hiking, is always seeking new adventures in travel, and spending time with his family.
