Dr. Samantha Betz, DPT
Performance Physical Therapist
Samantha was born and raised in Frederick, MD as a competitive gymnast. She began gymnastics at just 2 years old and continued through high school where she found Rehab 2 Perform. She worked with the company through multiple injuries during her final few years of club gymnastics. She went on to compete for SUNY Cortland for the 2017-2018 season before unfortunately suffering a career-ending injury. Samantha then transferred to the University of Maryland, College Park to finish her bachelor's degree in Kinesiology. Samantha had always had an interest in physical therapy throughout her athletic career and while all of these injuries were certainly not an enjoyable part of the sport, Rehab 2 Perform solidified her career choice. She completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree at the University of Maryland, Baltimore.
Samantha has experience working with a variety of individuals with different backgrounds including high school athletes, weekend warriors, and collegiate athletes as she completed her last clinical rotation at the University of Maryland, College Park (UMD) and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) treating Division 1 athletes. Samantha is extremely enthusiastic about helping individuals regain strength, functionality, and sport-specific movement patterns to ensure the patient is confident when they return to the activities they enjoy. She is able to empathize with the patient after personally experiencing countless injuries and provide each patient with individualized care that coincide with their goals. Outside of the clinic, you can find Samantha enjoying nature walks, hiking, weight lifting, and traveling.
