Dr. Mica Riley, DPT, CSCS
Performance Physical Therapist
Dr. Mica is new to the DMV, having moved from the Pacific Northwest. She has roots deeply embedded in the world of soccer, she developed a passion for the game early on, however, her path took a pivotal turn when she faced her own battle with an ACL tear at just 16 years old. This experience ignited a newfound interest in the realm of physical therapy, inspired by the profound impact her PT had on her recovery as she was able to achieve her dream of becoming a collegiate soccer player.
Driven by a thirst for knowledge, she earned her B.S. in Exercise Science from Eastern Oregon University, followed by her doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Washington. Her dedication to continuous learning led her to become the inaugural Orthopedic Physical Therapy Resident at UW, where she honed her skills, expertise and also became a certified strength and conditioning coach.
With a profound understanding of the mental and physical toll of ACL injuries, Dr. Mica is deeply passionate about providing top-notch care to those navigating similar challenges. Beyond ACL rehab, she enjoys working with soccer players and weight lifters and any athlete looking to achieve their peak potential. Outside the clinic, you'll find her hard at work in the gym, rehabbing from her recent ACL surgery, or enjoying quality time with her Husband and dogs, Lucky and Nova.
