Dr. Isaiah Minns, DPT
Performance Physical Therapist
Isaiah grew up outside of Richmond, VA where he filled his time playing sports and being active. Throughout his youth and high school years he trained in martial arts and played football. His passion for physical therapy began in high school. He had the opportunity to attend his county's career and tech center, where he experienced their PT/OT class. He also experienced physical therapy firsthand as a patient for sports and lifting injuries.
That curiosity and drive carried him to college, where he received his Bachelor's of Science in Kinesiology, Exercise Science from James Madison University. His love for athletics and sports continued as he participated in intramurals and worked for their University Recreation as an official and manager. Ultimate frisbee was his favorite sport to play, while 7v7 flag football was his favorite to referee. Isaiah later went on to receive his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Mary Baldwin University. It was in graduate school that his passion took form, and where he underwent his own ACL rehabilitation, which transformed his perspective on patient-centered and sport-specific care. Isaiah spent his final clinical rotation at R2P with Dr. Zach Baker and Dr. Clark Dancy at their Frederick and Germantown locations.
Isaiah desires to build relationships and collaborate with patients regardless of injury or demographic to achieve and surpass the goals they envision for themselves. He is excited to join the R2P team and uphold their standard of quality, patient tailored care! If you ever catch him outside the clinic, he is most likely in the gym, trying good food, playing sports, with community, and traveling to spend time with friends and family!
