Dr. Campbell Tyrrell, DPT
Performance Physical Therapist
Campbell earned her B.S. in Kinesiology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville before completing her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at South College - Knoxville. Her interest in physical therapy began after experiencing injuries playing field hockey, and continued to grow through her involvement in sports, movement, and a desire to help people return to the activities that are most important to them.
Throughout physical therapy school, Campbell developed a strong interest in sports and orthopedic rehabilitation. Her clinical experiences allowed her to work with a wide variety of patients and athletes, including completing a rotation with Rehab 2 Perform. She also completed a 12-week international clinical rotation at a FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence, where she gained experience in football-specific rehabilitation and had the opportunity to work alongside clinicians treating professional soccer players. These experiences further developed her interest in athlete rehabilitation, return-to-sport testing, and performance-based physical therapy.
Campbell enjoys working with athletes and active individuals of all levels and believes rehabilitation should extend beyond simply getting someone out of pain. She is passionate about helping patients rebuild confidence in their bodies, understand the “why” behind their rehabilitation, and develop the strength and capacity necessary to return to the activities and sports they love. She strives to create an environment where patients feel supported, challenged, and actively involved in their recovery.
Outside of the clinic, Campbell enjoys watching Tennessee football, traveling, baking, spending time with friends and family and staying active.
