DR. BEN HAEFNER, DPT

Performance Physical Therapist

Ben grew up in Buffalo, NY where he played baseball and basketball at Lancaster Central High School. He then went on to earn a B.S. in Exercise Science and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University at Buffalo. Through student internships with UB Strength and Conditioning and R2P (Germantown), among others, he gained valuable experience working with individuals at various points on the rehab to performance continuum. Ben competed as a Division 1 baseball player at both the University at Buffalo and Sam Houston State University, obtaining a thorough understanding of the dynamics of collegiate sports and the competitive demands of throwing athletes. He has also spent time coaching and training youth, high school, and collegiate baseball players while completing his education.

Ben is passionate about connecting with individuals from all walks of life and utilizing his knowledge and experience to guide them towards the achievement of their performance goals. Through education and patient-clinician collaboration, he inspires confidence and encourages autonomy throughout the rehab process. Ben is excited to serve the Bethesda community and looks forward to making physical therapy a truly transformational and impactful experience for his patients.
