Dr. Alex Chen, DPT, CSCS
Performance Physical Therapist
Alex grew up in Richmond, Kentucky, and attended Model Laboratory School from kindergarten through 12th grade. He has had a passion for athletics from a young age and has played multiple sports throughout his life. Basketball was and continues to be his favorite sport.
While in high school, he learned firsthand the power of physical rehabilitation after having 2 knee surgeries. The lengthy rehab process allowed him to fully appreciate body recovery and sport performance.
Alex moved his passions into the classroom as he concentrated on kinesiology during a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science degree at the University of Kentucky. He gained experience in a sports performance-based clinic as a physical therapy technician during this time. Alex also obtained the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) credential through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). He graduated from Bellarmine University with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
As a physical therapist and strength and conditioning specialist, Alex is passionate about empowering individuals to achieve their unique goals through the rehab process allowing them to perform at their highest potential. In his free time, Alex enjoys being active with hobbies like running, weightlifting, and hiking.
