about us

DR. CORRIE JONES, DPT, SCS, AIT

Director of Clinical Excellence

Performance Physical Therapist

Corrie is our Director of Clinical Excellence at R2P.  She leads our company-wide mentorship program to keep our standard of care at the highest levels.  She also teaches in the R2P Sports Residency as a didactic and clinical instructor for our residents.

Corrie currently works with the US Paralympic alpine and snowboard teams, ensuring they can compete at the most elite levels.  Corrie also teaches adaptive skiing and snowboarding on the weekends locally.  Adaptive athletics are her favorite!

Beyond snow sports, Corrie’s primary passion was always soccer.  She played soccer for Messiah College and helped the team go to 4 Final Fours and win the first NCAA National Title for their program.  During these seasons of her life, Corrie became interested in physical therapy after enduring two ACL reconstructive surgeries and multiple shoulder dislocations, amongst other sports injuries.  Corrie eventually pursued a career in physical therapy by earning her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from the University of Maryland-Baltimore in 2011.

Corrie now is a board certified specialist in Sports (SCS).  She treats patients at both our Frederick office and at Hood College, working with collegiate athletes in a variety of sports.  She has worked with elite runners and ultra runners in Colorado,  was involved in CrossFit and eventually earned her Level 1 coaching credentials through CF.  She has coached soccer for years in many different capacities, including at the club, NCAA DII and semi-pro levels.

Corrie notes she enjoys meeting people, getting to know them and finding out what motivates them.  She believes the psychology of rehab is just as important as the physical nature of rehab and strives to help clients reach their goals considering all aspects of healing.
