Dr. Justus Brown, DPT
Performance Physical Therapist
Justus grew up in Baltimore, MD, where sports and staying active were a big part of his life. He played varsity football and baseball in high school at Boy’s Latin and continued both at Kenyon College as an NCAA Division III athlete. His interest in physical therapy began after spraining his MCL during his freshman football season and having a positive experience rehabbing with the team’s PT. He later transferred to UMBC, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Biological Sciences. During college, he worked as a personal trainer and completed an apprenticeship with local strength and conditioning coach Chris Palmer, building his passion for fitness, sports, and performance.
Justus earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Miami, where he volunteered with preseason baseball screenings, tutored fellow students, and gained experience across a variety of clinical settings. His first clinical rotation at Rehab 2 Perform in Gambrills with Dr. Andrew Bucknor was particularly meaningful, combining his background in sports and fitness with his passion for helping active individuals and athletes. He is passionate about working with youth athletes, active adults, and individuals recovering from concussions. Justus strives to help patients regain control of their bodies and lives so they can confidently return to the sports and activities that are meaningful to them.
Outside of the clinic, Justus enjoys weight training, running, yoga and Pilates, recreational sports, cooking, and spending time with friends and family. He follows all sports, with football and baseball remaining his favorites. He is excited to return to R2P as a Performance Physical Therapist and continue growing alongside a team committed to learning, collaboration, and providing high-quality care.
