Dr. Kate Windsor was raised in Silver Spring, Maryland and attended Paint Branch High School, where she competed in softball and field hockey while primarily dedicating herself to travel softball as a pitcher. After experiencing a shoulder injury in high school, Kate discovered physical therapy and quickly realized it was the perfect way to combine her passion for science, movement, and helping others.

Kate earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from James Madison University in 2023 before completing her Doctor of Physical Therapy at Mary Baldwin University in 2026. She is excited to continue her professional development as a member of the R2P Sports Residency Program, where she looks forward to expanding her knowledge and skills in sports rehabilitation while helping athletes of all levels maximize their performance and safely return to sport.

Kate enjoys working with athletes of all backgrounds, with special interests in treating runners, softball and field hockey athletes, as well as youth athletes and active adults. She believes the best outcomes come from building strong partnerships with her patients, meeting them where they are, and empowering them to take an active role in their rehabilitation. Her goal is to equip each patient with the knowledge, confidence, and tools they need to not only recover from injury but continue pursuing lifelong health and performance long after physical therapy has ended.

Outside of the clinic, Kate enjoys running, strength training, walking her dog, and volunteering at local sporting events and youth athletic programs.
