Performance Physical Therapist

Sarah was born and raised in Poolesville, MD. She played field hockey and ran track during her high school career, and later discovered her love of strength training while attending college at the University of South Carolina. After earning her B.S. in Exercise Science at UofSC, Sarah attended the University of Maryland Baltimore to earn her DPT degree. Sarah had the opportunity to learn from the staff at R2P as both an undergraduate and graduate student and completed her final clinical rotation of PT school at R2P’s Frederick location.

Sarah is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and has experience working as a personal trainer through college and graduate school. After experiencing recurrent low back injuries in college, Sarah discovered how beneficial physical therapy could be and decided that she eventually wanted to work in the sports and orthopedic setting.

Sarah is passionate about helping patients take an active role in their recovery, whether it be after surgery or in response to persistent aches and pains. She enjoys incorporating principles of strength and conditioning and patient education into her treatment to show patients that they are capable of more than they think. She believes that all patients deserve an individualized treatment program specific to their goals and feels that communication is key during the rehab process. Sarah is excited to begin serving the Frederick community as an official member of the R2P team.
