Meet the Team: Marci Jenkins
Question: Why did you want to become involved in health care?
Throughout my life I have always been passionate about fitness, nutrition and total body health. I have taken much interest in all aspects of exercise and body awareness. This passion coupled with my intense love of helping and assisting others inspired me to want to become more involved with health care.
Q: What is your background?
My career began as a Montgomery County Public School teacher. After taking some time off to raise my own kids I became more involved with event planning and administrative work. I worked as the Administrator/Registrar for the Damascus Sports Association for several years. During that time I also served as team administrator for the Damascus youth and high school football programs for nine years. Through my experience with each of these positions I was granted the opportunity to work closely with children, teens and adults on a multitude of levels. Each required a high level of communication, organization and overall management.
Q: What is your specialty or niche when it comes to health care?
I absolutely love working with people and making a difference. The overall patient experience begins with the first step in the door. Greeting patients with a warm welcome is of prior importance while also ensuring the most positive, smooth front desk experience possible.
Q: What are you most looking forward to in joining the Rehab 2 Perform team?
I am so excited to work with a team of clinicians that are highly dedicated to providing top notch rehabilitation to children, teens and adults while promoting total body health as a part of their overall philosophy. I am eager to contribute to this incredible group of individuals who positively impact so many on a daily basis.
Q: What are your plans on trying to engage and connect with the community?
I am eager to support R2P’s involvement in making a difference in local communities. Through my extensive volunteer work in the Damascus Community I have experienced first hand the value in giving and supporting. I look forward to promoting ideas and events that enrich and create positive outcome in our local neighboring communities.
