Why did you want to become involved in health care?

I believe that health is one of the few aspects of our lives that we can have significant control over. Whether it is improving a physical or mental condition, a positive change in one’s health can completely change a person’s outlook on life. I’ve always wanted to be apart of that.

What is your background?

My background is mostly based in sports and orthopedics. I played volleyball for many years and wanted to mix my passion for athletics with my career. I received a BA in Athletic Training from Marshall University in 2009. I have a Doctorate in Physical therapy from University of Maryland- Baltimore and I am a certified strength and conditioning specialist.

What is your specialty or niche when it comes to physical therapy?

I have a niche for working with young athletes especially young, female athletes. I also have a strong affinity for patient/client education. I strongly believe that educating clients on their condition helps give them the tools they need to succeed.

What are you most looking forward to in joining the Rehab 2 Perform team?

I am looking forward to working with people who really care about developing all aspects of human performance and who understand that PT does not have to be defined by a singular viewpoint. They think outside of the box and I like that.

What are you plans on trying to engage and connect with the Germantown community?

I would really like to work with young female athletes promoting safe exercise and activity as well as promoting healthy body image and self awareness.
